New Trailer for Paul Walker’s “Vehicle 19”
The official trailer has been released for Vehicle 19, a new action flick starring actor Paul Walker. Known for his role in The Fast & Furious franchise, Walker plays a foreign traveler who accidentally becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving corrupt police in South Africa.
Walker’s nightmare begins after he’s issued a strange rental car. Naima McClean plays a mysterious woman named Rachel who, unbeknownst to Walker, is hiding inside the car. And surprise surprise, she will turn out to be a key part of the police conspiracy. The action flick will double as a redemption story, as Walker’s character, who was recently paroled, is given a shot to do the right thing.
Mukunda Michael Dewil wrote the screenplay and will direct the film. Peter Safran will produce. According to Screen Rant, this is the third movie backed by Safran that will feature a one-location step-up. The entire film unspools inside the rental car.
It is currently unclear when the film will be released stateside. But it’s expected to go straight to DVD.
In other news, Paul Walker is currently wrapping up filming of the sixth installment of Fast & Furious—scheduled for a May 24 release. He recently suffered an ACL injury while on set and required surgery.
Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Michelle Rodriguez, whose character was presumed dead, will return in the flick, which is simply titled Fast & Furious 6.
