Given the amount of money being thrown around by colleges across the country to build bigger and better football facilities, the resulting opulence fails to surprise us any more. But Clemson University might have taken the bar and moved it up a few more pegs.

Set to open in January, Clemson’s new $55 million football operations facility includes a player village with an outdoor fire pit, barbecue grill, sand volleyball courts and a putt-putt golf course. It gets even more ridiculous inside. The facility is populated with ping-pong tables, a bowling alley, basketball courts, laser tag (!!!), a whiffle ball field (!!!!!) and a movie theatre. Oh yeah, and a freaking slide.

Yup, if you want to get down from the second level of the complex to the first, one of your transportation options is a slide. Why would you ever want to take the stairs when you can slide down that bad boy any time you want?

The facility is said to be inspired by head coach Dabo Swinney’s imagination. If this is the result, Clemson should tear down everything on campus and rebuild it according to Swinney’s imaginings.
