Keep Feet Soft With a Natural Callus Removal Technique
When athletes spend countless hours in the gym, their feet spend countless hours in their shoes. Athlete’s feet—after being trapped in sneakers for long practices, day in and day out—almost always form calluses after training. A callus is hardened skin that results from the skin being exposed to friction or pressure over a long period of time.
With a few basic all-natural skin care supplies, you can remove your calluses and return your feet to a smooth, soft state.
Callus Removal Ingredients
- Small tub
- Moisturizing hand soap
- Foot brush
- Pumice stone
- Moisturizing foot cream
- Plastic wrap
- Towel
Callus Removal Directions
Fill a small tub with warm to hot water. Add one teaspoon of moisturizing hand soap and mix well with your hands. Soak feet for 20 to 30 minutes to relax and soften the skin on your feet.
In circular motions, scrub your feet with a footbrush to remove the top layer of dead skin cells.
Use pumice stone to scrub off any callused areas. The dead skin from the calluses will slough off into the water. Avoid scrubbing uncallused areas of the feet, as it can be painful and cause bleeding.
Dry feet thoroughly with towel. Apply a thick layer of moisturizing foot cream to both feet—massaging into the skin for at least five minutes.
Wrap feet in plastic wrap for 20 to 30 minutes. Wipe off excess foot cream.
