In the middle of the fourth quarter, Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge tried to score with a right-handed hook shot, but unfortunately for him, Carter was in the paint. The 6-foot-6 guard jumped up and swatted the 6-foot-11 power forward’s attempt. After the block, Aldridge gathered the ball and passed it to Kyle Anderson, but Carter wasn’t done. Vinsanity blocked the 6-foot-9 swingman’s layup attempt too.
After the block party, Carter’s teammates and the crowd went wild.

The defensive hold was impressive, not only because of the 8-time All-Star’s age, but because he’s only averaging 0.5 blocks per game this season. The last time Carter averaged a block per game was back in 2002-03 when he was with the Toronto Raptors.
Carter finished last night’s 89-74 defensive triumph over the Spurs with four blocks.
Carter joins an elite group of players who were over 40 years old and had four blocks in a single game—Karl Malone, Dikembe Mutombo, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Parish.
