Former Washington Huskies wide receiver John Ross isn’t lacking in confidence when it comes to his speed.

He has every right to be cocky. After running a 4.22 40-Yard Dash at the 2017 NFL Combine, Ross is now the fastest man in the event’s history. Selected with the ninth overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in last weekend’s NFL Draft, Ross is so confident about his speed that he even issued a 40-Yard Dash challenge to Usain Bolt:

Christian Coleman, an All-American sprinter at the University of Tennessee and a 2016 Olympian, saw Ross’s challenge and decided to see how his own 40 would stack up. The results were wildly impressive:

A 4.12 40-Yard Dash? That’s unheard of. Coleman’s blazing time caught the attention of UT head football coach Butch Jones:

Coleman’s certainly fast, but he’s not as fast as Usain Bolt. The result of a Ross vs. Bolt 40-Yard Dash might seem like a forgone conclusion, but we’d still love to see the world’s fastest man attempt the NFL Combine’s most famous event.
