After Winning the World Series, Cubs Centerfielder Dexter Fowler Is Having Trouble Adjusting To Normal Life
The Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series, and centerfielder Dexter Fowler was a big part of Chicago’s Game 7 victory. The 30-year-old hit a lead-off home run to start the game. But since the series ended, Fowler has no clue what to do with himself.
Baseball has one of the longest seasons in professional sports. Players get little free time other than the off-season. Even after a team wins the World Series, players still must do multiple interviews and attend the championship parade. This makes for an even shorter off-season.
But now that all the celebrations are done, Fowler doesn’t have a schedule to follow. Since he’s not playing the game he loves, the one-time All-Star is bored.
What does a World Series champ do for a month after winning? Sleep. In a @Casper bed. no, but seriously.

I’ll be honest guys, I don’t even know what to do with myself. Lol oh hey, I’m a World Champ. And…… just gonna do some laundry now

Sleeping and doing laundry don’t sound very exciting, especially after winning your first world championship. But Fowler won’t be bored for long. He is a free agent, and if he doesn’t accept the Cubs’ offer, he will have a lot of teams looking to make a deal in the near future.
