Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn Prepares For Gameday by Running the Stairs in the Georgia Dome
A few hours before kickoff, the Georgia Dome, the 71,228-capacity stadium that hosts that Atlanta Falcons, is quiet. Look closely, though, and you see a speck of a bald man, usually dressed in all black with whites sleeves covering his arms, running up and down the stadium steps in the lower bowl as part of an exhausting pre-game ritual.

That man is Dan Quinn, head coach of the Falcons, and he’s been running stairs before patrolling the sidelines since he arrived in Atlanta in 2015. This isn’t some casual workout, either. Quinn isn’t running 20 steps and then walking back down. Nah. My man is going all the way to the concourse on the first level and coming all the way back down, and doing it multiple times. Not bad for a 46-year-old.
Quinn is no stranger to extreme fitness. He had the Falcons work out with Navy SEALS for a week in April as they began preparation for training camp later that summer.
It’s not hard to understand why Quinn’s players work so hard for him when they see him putting in the work himself every Sunday morning.
