People normally don’t reward bad behavior, but Odor is now a Texas legend for taking out Bautista. Since last year’s playoff game in which Bautista performed his infamous bat flip, Rangers fans and players have been waiting for Bautista to get payback. Now fans view Odor as a hero, and he will be treated like one.
Heim Barbecue in Fort Worth, which is set to open next month, is offering Odor free food for life. Owner Travis Heim said this to NBC 5: “We just thought it would be a funny thing if we offered Rougie free food because he wasn’t the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year. So you know, it’s kind of a justice, a little bit.”
