This year, the University of Florida tops the lists for both male athletes and student-athletes overall, thanks in large part to its strong history of on-field performance. Since the Southeastern Conference began in 1933, Florida has won 221 SEC team championships, more than any other school in the conference. The men’s teams have won 16 national championships; and in 2007, Florida became the only D-I school to hold both the football and men’s basketball NCAA championships at the same time.
