Under Armour Announces Cam Newton's First Signature Sneaker (PHOTOS)
When you’re Cam Newton, you don’t get an average training shoe from your sponsor. You get something as unique as your style of play. In the same way that Newton’s UA cleat stood out, the Cam Highlight Trainer is designed to make an instant impression.
The new sneaker will become available Dec. 8 on UA.com. It features a compression sleeve that fits up the ankle, nearly to the calf, and, like other UA trainers, it has Micro G cushioning in the sole for better lateral stability during side-to-side movements. The fit allows your foot to be very close to the ground, which is key for better training in all sports.
Look for two different colorways available in early December: the Blue Heat/Black/Metallic Silver colorwa, matching the Carolina Panthers uniforms; and the Red/Black/Metallic Silver combination, meant to match up with an old Atlanta Hawks color scheme.
And if that weren’t enough, you can also pick up the CN1 collection, which includes more Cam Newton UA gear like socks, tees and a hat.
Here are a few more images of the new kicks and the CN1 pack. Would you wear Newton’s new shoes? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter.
