Cavs Rookie Kay Felder Predicted His Future Team Would Come Back from a 3-1 Deficit to Win the NBA Finals
The Cleveland Cavaliers were down 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals, a deficit that had never been overcome at any point in NBA history. But Kay Felder’s confidence in his future team never wavered. Despite a friendship with Warriors power forward Draymond Green that dates all the way back to eighth grade, Felder—then the point guard for Oakland University and a few weeks away from having his rights acquired by the Cavs in the 2016 NBA Draft—knew the Cavs were on the verge of making history.

“I felt like no one believed, really, that [the Cavs] could come back,” Felder told STACK. “But I swear I believed.”
Felder, who referred to his personal Facebook page as evidence of his unwavering support for his new squad as they mounted an incredible comeback, now gets to spend his rookie year with the team he placed his faith in after signing a three-year deal during the off-season. Perhaps he should predict a second straight championship, so that too can come true, and maybe change his nickname to Nostradamus.
