Finally, Here’s Your First Good Look at the Nike Kyrie 2
Rumors have been swirling around the Nike Kyrie 2, Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard Kyrie Irving’s second signature shoe; but no real image has been available to substantiate any of them. Based on a blurry image that came out a few months ago, we were pretty sure the shoe would have a strap, but that was about it. And with Irving continuing to rehab and recover from a fractured kneecap—and still wearing the Kyrie 1 on his feet—all we could do was wait.
Now, finally, we have our first clean look at the “Bright Crimson” iteration of Uncle Drew’s new kicks, and they are surprisingly good-looking. Adding a strap has always been a risky move (see the KD VII), but the folks at Nike got it right this time. The strap looks more like a part of the the upper than a separate, standalone thing. The sole and parts of the upper echo the shoe’s predecessor, and the tongue, which again features Irving’s logo, has some cuts in it, rather than the rectangular shape it had in the Kyrie 1.
Kyrie 2s look good. Kyrie has the designs, price point and release date KD should have.

The Kyrie 1 was one of the most popular on-court shoes in the NBA last season, and it will be interesting to see how the Kyrie 2 is received. The shoe is rumored to be dropping on Jan. 1, 2016, at a price point of $125.
