It Took Ben Simmons Two Years To Hit His First NBA 3-Pointer
As a 6-foot-10 point guard, Ben Simmons doesn’t really need to shoot threes.
And for the first 182 official games of his NBA career (including post-season games), he really didn’t. During that time, Simmons attempted just 18 three-pointers.
And he didn’t make a single one.
So when Simmons decided to pull-up from deep during the Philadelphia 76ers home exhibition during the Guangzhou Loong Lions, the Philly faithful held their breath.
When he drained it, they went berserk:
THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
BEN SIMMONS MADE A THREE.

Now, we wait for Simmons to do it during a real game—and the inevitable parade through the Philadelphia streets that will surely follow.
