Josh Brolin Rumored for Lead Role in ‘Jurassic World’
Josh Brolin is rumored to be in negotiations to play a lead character in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel. It’s unclear which character he might play, but if he does join the cast, he will be in good company. Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help), Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) and Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3) are already slated to appear in the film. Not much is known about their roles either, though some sites speculate Robinson and Simpkins will play brothers. Deadline reports New Girl’s Jake Johnson is also being considered for a role.
Jurassic World is being co-written and directed by Colin Trevorrow, who is known for his work on the indie hit, Safety Not Guaranteed. Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer. The fourth installment is a reboot for the franchise, and according to Trevorrow, will introduce a new dinosaur.
In the meantime, fans can get their Josh Brolin fix via the Oscar-nominated actor’s latest flick, set to hit movie theaters on Nov. 27. Oldboy is an American remake of a 2003 South Korean film detailing a recently released prisoner’s attempt to exact revenge on those who held him captive for more than 20 years. Spike Lee directs the remake, which features Elizabeth Olsen and Samuel L. Jackson.
Jurassic World will be released June 12, 2015.
