Kentucky’s Jamal Murray Drained 25 3-Pointers in 2 Minutes at Recent Pre-Draft Workout
The NBA is quickly assimilating talented Canadian basketball players; and when he’s selected in the 2016 NBA Draft, Kentucky’s Jamal Murray will become the latest northerner to enhance the league’s talent pool. A fantastic shooter who averaged 20 points per game during his freshman year and shot a crispy 40 percent from deep, Murray is expected by many mock drafts to go in the Top 10. After getting a close look at his shooting prowess during a recent workout in New York City, team officials should be drooling over the potential of adding such a devastating outside threat to their roster.

During a workout that also included potential lottery picks Brandon Ingram and Thon Maker, Murray knocked down 25 of 27 3-pointers from all over the court in just two minutes. He was performing the “Star drill,” in which he shot long-range from five points on the floor that make up the shape of a star.
There were no defenders, of course, but watching Murray’s focus and accuracy in a drill that not only tested his shooting skill but also his endurance must have had scouts and GMs excited about the Wildcat’s NBA potential.
