The Knicks Created This Highlight Reel of Derrick Rose Dominating the Players They Traded for Him
The New York Knicks are not exactly in a position to take jabs at other teams and players.
This past season, they went 32-50, finishing 13th in the Eastern Conference. And lacking first-round picks for the 2016 NBA Draft, they cannot credibly brag about their future.

Nonetheless, the Knicks sent a not-so-subtle message to former team members Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon, whom they traded to Chicago for former Bulls point guard Derrick Rose on Wednesday. The team’s Twitter account featured a highlight reel of Rose dominating those three players as a way to welcome him to New York.

Of course, the video could be a coincidence. Rose knows how to find his way to the basket, and the three Knick defenders could simply have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But when the video repeatedly shows Rose scoring against the same three players, it’s hard to believe the highlight reel is just a coincidence.
Rose is looking to revitalize his career. Since winning the MVP award for his performance in the 2010-2011 season, he has been plagued by injuries and has not been as explosive as he once was. He’s had several knee injuries, including tearing his ACL during the first round of the 2012 Playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers.
