LOOK: Alabama Running Back Bo Scarbrough Was Already Super Jacked in High School
We already told you that Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough might be the most jacked man in college football. The sophomore running back is listed at 6-foot-2, 228 pounds, but he looks way bigger. Here he is standing next to Alabama defensive lineman D.J. Pettway, and Pettway weighs 284 pounds.

That is one huge running back, even for the college game, but what if we told you he was just as jacked in high school as he is now? Because he was. Just imagine being in high school and having to tackle a guy who’s as big as an NFL linebacker. That was the case for anyone who played IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, when Scarbrough was shredding defenses.

That’s Scarbrough in the 10th grade. Not only was he as big as he is today, but he was also just as dominant, plowing through anyone who tried to tackle him and using his speed to break long touchdown runs. As a senior, Scarbrough averaged a first down per carry—that’s right, 10.4 yards per carry. In eight games he had 1,118 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
Scarbrough told the Tuscaloosa News that he got huge by lifting twice a day in high school. That helped him improve his strength and speed, but it didn’t protect him from injuries, of which he suffered many. When healthy, Scarbrough was and is a force to be reckoned with. This season with Alabama he had 812 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in 13 games.
