In less than a month, March Madness will be in full swing. However, if you’re looking forward to switching back and forth between the games on your computer at work or school like you did last year, you may be in for a surprise. Turner Sports has announced that they will charge a $3.99 fee to access their March Madness Live website or app during the NCAA basketball tournament.
A silver lining for college basketball fans is that the one-time fee will buy a number of new features, including social integration, live stats and higher quality video streams. More important, each game can be streamed on Apple and Android devices, meaning you can take the tournament with you wherever you go.
Plus, if you’re a cable subscriber who already gets Turner channels like TNT and TBS, you’ll be able to stream the games for free on the channels’ websites after authenticating your subscription. Also, anyone can access the games for free on CBSSports.com.
You can sign up at NCAA.com to receive a notification when March Madness Live is ready to download. For the price of a light  lunch, we’ll gladly pay to take March Madness with us wherever we go.
