You Can Play Ball With Metta World Peace—If You Aren’t Afraid of a Few Elbows
The artist formerly known as Ron Artest is looking for some tough new teammates for his Venice Basketball League summer team. Metta World Peace is keeping in shape and staying sharp by playing in the VBL (Venice Beach, California), but the brand of basketball being played there is apparently so physical that the infamous “Malice in the Palace” participant needs some backup.
It all started when a video surfaced of MWP pushing two opposing players after a missed foul call. World Peace is trying to justify those actions by saying the league is dangerous, with barely any fouls being called despite extremely aggressive contact. World Peace took to Twitter to vent his frustrations and find some combative players to add to his crew.
I’ve never wrestled on a court five straight times as the ref watched. Really ref?

What is World Peace complaining about? Wrestling and basketball go together like peanut butter and jelly (yes, that is a video of Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone facing off in a professional wrestling match. You’re welcome.)
I actually need some ballers. Next sunday i have three extra jerseys. I need help on my team. They bullied my Highschool players.

The team World Peace assembles could be scary. Personally, we would rather play the Monstars than a super-aggressive team of goons led by MWP. But if you model your game after the Bad Boys of Detroit, email some tape to mettaworldpeace.com. And don’t forget to bring a mouthguard.
