Now, back under the Swoosh on an 11-year, $173.8 million contract, Michigan football is adding to its legacy by becoming the first collegiate football team to wear Air Jordan’s “Jumpman” logo on its uniforms.
The Jumpman, which depicts Michael Jordan soaring through the air with a basketball held in his outstretched hand, appears just below the left shoulder of Michigan’s home and away jerseys, which are the Nike Vapor Untouchable variety. Players will also have the option of wearing gloves with the Jumpman logo splashed across the top, and they’ve been given Michigan-themed Jordan Trainer 1 Lows as well.
It’s a new era at Michigan, both on the field and on their uniforms.
