"NBA 2K13" Cover Revealed: Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin
2K has announced its cover athletes for NBA 2K13, the latest release of the most-played basketball video game on the market. The brand has tapped three young All-Stars for the cover: Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose. After a successful social media campaign revealed the cover image little by little, the brand is set on the trio of outstanding superstars.
In addition to showing off its cover athletes, 2K also announced a playable All-Star Weekend, featuring all the events (including the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest) that fans see in real life. It will function within The Association mode, so gamers can enjoy the most immersive experience. All-Star Weekend is free with a preorder.
2K11 featured Michael Jordan’s most memorable games and his classic Bulls teams. In NBA 2K12, more legendary players—Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and many others—arrived in “NBA’s Greatest” mode.
