Gamer Update: New DLC for “Resident Evil 6,” “Halo 4” and “Assassin’s Creed 3”
New Resident Evil 6 DLC Revealed
Capcom has announced plans to release the latest DLC for the sixth installment of the Resident Evil series. The new Siege mode, which will become available in March, is an online multiplayer mode that splits players into two teams: enemy creatures bent on killing a rookie BSAA agent, and playable characters from the main game who are trying to save his life. The mode allows for two rounds and two to six players per match.
In other news, Capcom also revealed plans to release Resident Evil 6 for PC on March 22, complete with a new mode called “The Mercenaries: No Mercy,” which will reportedly be more difficult than its predecessor and feature more enemies, allowing players to “rack up even higher combo scores.”
New Halo 4 DLC This Week
Halo 4‘s latest DLC, “Spartan Ops Episode Seven,” was unleashed yesterday, Jan. 28. The new content doesn’t move gamers further along in Master Chief’s storyline. Instead, it focuses on two Spartan squads, Crimson and Majestic. According to the official press release, the Infinity is invaded by Promethean Knights, and Sangheili terrorist Jul ‘Mdama gets one step closer to revealing the secrets of the Librarian.
A new Griftball playlist will also be released on Monday.
Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC, “Tyranny of King Washington,” Arrives Mid-February
Ubisoft will release the “Tyranny of King Washington” mid-February. Xbox 360 and PC players can purchase it on Feb. 19, and PS3 gamers a day later.
