Inside Look: Oregon Ducks White Vapor Uniforms (PHOTOS)
The Oregon Ducks’ explosive offense has been so prolific throughout the 2012 college football season that the team’s elaborate uniform combinations have seemed like the perfect armor for a well-oiled machine — something like the Terminator.
Oregon scored 62 points against Pac-12 rival USC over the weekend, defeating the Trojans 62-51 as senior RB Kenjon Barner rushed for 321 yards and five TDs by himself. The fastest offense in the country is the driving force behind the school’s effort to increase fan and recruiting interest in the program, and the Ducks continue to redefine “explosive” as they innovate their on-field look.
The team wore the White Vapor integrated system of dress for its win against USC, including all-white helmets, pants, jerseys and everything else. The uniforms combine Chain Maille Mesh, an extremely lightweight material placed under the jersey’s arms and around the back to help keep sweat off the players’ skin, with all the rest of the usual technical enhancements found in the Ducks’ uniforms this season.
The all-white uniforms certainly helped the Ducks look faster against the Trojans. After his phenomenal game, Barner has to be considered a Heisman candidate, and the team is only a few wins away from playing for the BCS National Championship.
