Jamie O’Brien is a professional surfer out of North Shore, Hawaii, and he just accomplished something very dangerous. He rode one of surfing’s heaviest waves—while on fire! Yes, you read that correctly, the professional freesurfer rode Teahupo’o in Tahiti on fire.

One of his fans messaged him on Instagram suggesting he light himself on fire, and O’Brien obviously thought it was a good idea. Known for surfing the toughest waves, he successfully surfed a 12-footer in a unique and spectacular way.

Red Bull captured the event for their video series with O’Brien called, Who Is JOB? The surfer posted a picture and a short clip of the full video on his Instagram.
