RELATED: Rob Gronkowski Said This Defensive Back Gave Him the Hardest Hit of His Career
As both a tight end and defensive end, first at Williamsville North (NY) High School and then at Woodland Hills (PA) High School for his senior season, Gronkowski wreaked havoc all over the field. He snagged impossible passes in the back of the end zone for touchdowns, broke as many tackles as he does in the NFL, then turned around and brutally stood up running backs at the line of scrimmage. Oh, and my man blocked punts on special teams, too.
During his junior season, Gronkowski went for 700 yards receiving and added seven touchdowns while recording 73 tackles and six sacks on defense. Here’s hoping Bill Belichick puts Gronk at defensive end for one series in 2017. We deserve to see it.
