Russell Westbrook Hosts Second Annual Christmas Party for Foster Children
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, in collaboration with his Why Not? Foundation and Citizens Caring for Children, recently hosted his second annual Christmas party for 85 kids living in foster care in the OKC area. Each kid received a new backpack full of goodies and a fresh new pair of kicks from the Jordan Brand, which Westbrook endorses.
“More and more children are placed into foster care each year, and to be in a position to bring the joy of Christmas to some of these kids is truly a blessing,” Westbrook said. “I am in a unique position to be able to give back to a community that has been so supportive of me and help children in need.”
Known for his fashion sense, Westbrook showed up at the event wearing a crispy pair of green and lime Air Jordan 1s.
