Seth Curry Says He’s a Better Shooter Than His Brother Steph
If you ask people to name the best shooter in the NBA right now, most would answer Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry. One notable exception, however, is Steph’s younger brother Seth.
Earlier in the season, Seth’s shooting percentages surpassed Steph’s. But now little brother has finally come out and said that he’s the better shooter.

In an appearance on FS1’s Undisputed on Tuesday, the Dallas Mavericks point guard was asked if he thinks he is a better shooter than his older brother. With no hesitation, Seth responded, “I think so.”

Of course, Seth is going to say that he is a better shooter than Steph. Why would he admit that he is a worse shooter than someone else, especially his lifelong rival? But some stats back Seth up. During the regular season, he shot 48 percent from the field and 42 percent from deep, while Steph shot 46 percent from the field and a career low 41 percent from deep.

But not all the numbers are in Seth’s favor. True, his shooting percentages were slightly better, but Steph shot (and scored) a whole lot more. The 4-time All-Star shot 1,443 times, more than twice as many as Seth’s 703 attempts. Also, Steph fired off an average of 10 three-point shots per game, while Seth took only 4.6.
It was another year of career highs for the Mavericks’ 26-year-old guard. Seth averaged 12.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game; but all of those totals were lower than those of his older brother Steph, who averaged 25.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.8 steals.
