Showtime's "The Franchise: A Season With the Miami Marlins" Premieres July 11
It’s no secret that we’re fans of Showtime’s “The Franchise.” So you know we’ll be tuning in this July for the new season, featuring the Miami Marlins.
This Showtime documentary series will follow Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen and his team, giving viewers unique access to the players. This year already started out rough for Guillen, whose controversial remarks about Fidel Castrol resulted in a five-game suspension. It will be interesting to see how he and the team handle intense coverage.
With an outspoken skipper at the helm; a brand new look and stadium; a slew of all-stars, including Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Heath Bell and Carlos Zambrano; and exciting young players like Hanley Ramirez and Giancarlo Stanton, this season’s “The Franchise” is bound to be entertaining.
The weekly series, “The Franchise: A Season with the Miami Marlins,” will premiere with a one-hour episode on Wednesday, July 11, at 10:00 p.m. EST/PST. Thirty-minute episodes will follow each subsequent Wednesday night at the same time for seven weeks.
