Sceptre’s New Sound Bar Transforms Your HDTV Into a Smart TV
Want a smart TV that lets you connect to Netflix, Pandora and YouTube, but don’t want to fork over a grand or more for a new TV? Scepter’s new sound bar can transform any regular HDTV that accepts HDMI input into a smart TV. According to a press release issued by the company, the new sound bar combines top-quality speakers, a 35-watt subwoofer and Wi-Fi with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to provide surround sound and connectivity in one device.
The Android operating system allows users to connect to the Internet with Facebook and Skype, making video conferencing and connecting with friends fast and easy. Users can also stream programming from sites like Netflix and Hulu or access the Google Play Store to download thousands of popular games, movies, music and other apps, just like they would on an Android phone.
The device’s control panel can be activated by touch, but an optional wireless remote provides the functionality of a computer keyboard and mouse.
The SB301524W 2.1 sound bar is also designed for great sound. By using DTS Technolgy’s SRS WOW™ system, Sceptre was able to pack all the sound of a full home theater into a 38-inch bar that can complement HDTVs with 42-inch screens or larger. Learn more about the sound bar at Sceptre.com.
