STACK Battle of the Brands Week 13 Recap
Playoffs? Don’t talk about playoffs! Sure, Week 13 is in the books, but there’s still one week left in the Battle of the Brands regular season. Find out how the postseason picture is shaping up with our Week 13 recap below.
Team Nike Blasts Team adidas, 141-79
Team Nike completed a 5-0 season sweep of Team adidas in grand fashion with a 61.5-point win, its largest margin of victory to date. Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson led a Swoosh squad that had all seven starters score double-digit fantasy points. The lowest-scoring Nike starter? That would be QB Matt Ryan at 12.4 points. Conversely, Team adidas, led by QB Robert Griffin III (19.72 points), didn’t have a single starter score more than 20 points.
Team Reebok Bests Team Under Armour, 107-93, Clinches Top Seed
Peyton Manning and Brandon Marshall scored 26 points apiece to help Team Reebok win the regular season series against Team Under Armour, 3-2. Reebok clinched the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, where it will face fourth-seeded Team adidas. The loss, Under Armour’s second in a row, marks the fifth consecutive week the brand has fallen short of its projected point total.
Three Stars of the Week
3. Brandon Marshall, Team Reebok
Marshall caught 10 balls for 165 yards, including a 56-yard desperation pass in the final minute of the game.
2. Calvin Johnson, Team Nike
Megatron’s 36-point performance was his second best of the season. He’s recorded at least 140 yards and a touchdown in each of his last four games.
1. Adrian Peterson, Team Nike
Megatron may have led the league in scoring this week, but Peterson’s rumbling 82-yard rushing TD landed him in the top spot. He totaled 29 fantasy points after rushing for 210 yards and a touchdown.
Week 14 Matchups
- Team adidas (5-8) vs. Team Reebok (8-5)
- Team Nike (7-6) vs. Team Under Armour (6-7)
