STACK’s Gatorade Athlete Performance Testing Part 2: The Competition Heats Up
As STACK’s associate content director Andy Haley mentioned in Part 1 of STACK’s Gatorade Athlete Testing, Andy and I have been invited by Gatorade to take part in the same athletic testing that their pro athletes [Dwight Howard, LaDainian Tomlinson, Dwyane Wade, Peyton Manning, etc.] undergo.
We are both incredibly appreciative and excited about being able to go through the initial baseline tests and then spend the next eight weeks improving our athletic results with the help of a fueling plan from the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and training guidelines from Todd Durkin, owner of Fitness Quest 10.
While the point of the program is to see how each individual improves over the two-month challenge, an intense head-to-head competition has ignited. Like all hungry athletes who are placed in close proximity with each other, Andy and I have locked horns.
Watch the latest installment of our Gatorade Testing episode [above] to get the inside info on the Man [Josh] vs. Boy [Andy] scenario that is developing as we speak. You’ll soon see that the STACK offices are only big enough for one top dog.
Check back next week as Andy reveals the results of our baseline testing and details the cutting-edge fueling and training plans we’ve received.
