50 Cent's Street King Energy Links With Wes Welker
Rapper 50 Cent created Street King Energy to fight world hunger, in conjunction with the United Nations World Food Programme—donating a meal to a hungry child in Africa for each energy drink sold. This philanthropic mission has attracted a wide array of celebrity ambassadors, including Joan Rivers and Deepak Chopra. The latest additions to the SK Energy roster include the brand’s first professional athlete endorsers: Wes Welker and Miles Austin—both NFL wide receivers.
Excited about the partnership, Welker released the following statement: “I am very careful about what I put in my body, and I love that SK Energy shots have none of the bad stuff in them—and they really work. But most of all, I love that every energy shot sold provides a meal for a hungry child. I’m excited to be a part of something so powerful.”
Austin also highlighted his support for the mission, saying, “I love the mission of SK and I’m excited to be a part of the brand. I always need to be on my game, and SK gives me energy to perform. And helping feed kids, that’s really the best part.”
Details of the duration and financial terms of the endorsement deals were not released.
