New Under Armour Texas Tech Uniforms to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project
In college football, this has been a season full of new uniforms, redesigned logos and alternate color schemes. For teams looking to change things up, uniforms designed Under Armour do more than offer a different look. For the third straight year, UA is honoring the Wounded Warrior project with new uniforms for select schools.
The mission of woundedwarriorproject.org is:
- To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members
- To help injured service members aid and assist each other
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members
On Saturday, Nov. 12, the Texas Tech Red Raiders will take on the third-ranked team in the country, the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Red Raiders will be wearing their Wounded Warrior uniforms.
Similar to South Carolina’s new uniform redesign earlier in the season, Texas Tech’s will include gloves and cleats to match.
The backs of the jerseys will feature core values of Duty, Honor, Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Country and Service.
Again, Under Armour will auction off game-worn jerseys and give 100 percent of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Program’s “Believe in Heroes” project.
