Regardless of your feelings about the New England Patriots and whether you believe they subtly cheat every now and then (just to see if they can get away with it), we can all agree that DeflateGate was an abomination. Never has a professional sports organization spent so much time scouring over something so inconsequential simply to show off the full force of its power; and the results robbed us of watching arguably the best quarterback to ever play the game for four weeks of the 2016 season.

All of that is what makes this Foot Locker spot so great. Not only did the brand convince Brady, who rarely says anything more than “we’re focused on our next opponent,” to appear in a humorous commercial, but they got him to take some not-so-subtle shots at DeflateGate, which should make you happy regardless of your rooting interests.

“Just because something’s great year after year doesn’t mean something’s going on!” Brady yells while sitting by himself in a diner, which is how we imagine he eats most days.

Touché, Tommy. Touché.
