Check Out the U.S. Women’s National Team New Uniforms for the 2015 World Cup
The 2015 Women’s World Cup tournament will begin in Canada in early June, and the U.S. Women’s National Team is preparing their new look accordingly. Yesterday, team members showed off their new home uniform (or “kit,” as soccer connoisseurs would say), an all-white iteration made from recycled polyester.
A black stripe runs down both sides of the jersey and shorts. White socks fade into a light volt color toward the cleat. Ventilation holes line the sides of the jersey, which Nike says is 16 percent lighter than any previous kit worn by the USWMNT. One of the coolest details of the jersey can be found on the inside of the back neck—a blue triangle emblem with 13 white stars representing America’s original 13 colonies.
You can purchase your own USWNT uni at Nike.com today.
The 2015 Women’s World Cup kicks off on June 6th.
