Maintain Explosive Movement with the ‘Volt’ Ankle Brace
Whether you play volleyball, basketball or any sport for that matter, a sprained ankle will likely derail you for a couple weeks or longer at some point in your career. Luckily, for the jumping and stop-and-go aspects of many sports, an ankle brace can help you prevent such an injury from occurring.
The “Volt,” from Active Ankle, is a new brace made specifically to meet an athlete’s needs. With stirrups on the inner and outer parts of the ankle, the brace is made of reinforced polypropylene, which is durable but lightweight. Most other braces use “thermoplastic,” which tends to wear easily and bend over time.
Molded, fabric-lined EVA pads give the Volt a comfortable custom fit.
The Volt provides stability and support while allowing full range of motion. The brace is equipped with hinge technology—a “mold bearing” design that facilitates free and easy movement. While stabilizing lateral and rotational foot movements, the hinge permits flexibility and extension of the ankle. Friction between the Volt and your skin is minimal.
A split-strap fastening system accommodates all shapes and sizes; the upper and lower straps are independently adjustable; and the straps are stretch-resistant, to maintain the integrity of support.
The Volt also has interchangeable color plates, which you can use to match your team’s colors. Customize your Volt at the Active Ankle website.
