The Miami Heat are deadlocked in a 2-2 Eastern Conference Semifinals tie with the Toronto Raptors, but Heat point guard Goran Dragic’s face is currently winless for the entire 2015-2016 campaign.

Last night, Dragic’s face was struck for the third time in less than a month when Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan dribbled the basketball directly off his foot and squarely into Dragic’s dome. Then, in a cruel twist of fate, the ricochet landed back in the hands of the Raptors to continue their possession.

This was just the latest face-smashing incident in a season full of them for Dragic. In Game 2 against the Raptors, he tried to take a charge as DeRozan drove toward him down the lane. For his efforts, he took a hard elbow to the chin, causing a tooth to cut through his lip, an injury that required multiple stitches.

Just before the Playoffs, Dragic actually lost a tooth when Detroit Pistons guard Spencer Dinwiddie raked him across the face with his arm while guarding him on the perimeter. Add that to a December game against the Atlanta Hawks in which Dragic took an elbow to the face while trying to guard Al Horford, resulting in another lost tooth and a whole lotta blood.

Goran Dragic may need to spend the entire off-season in a facial healing clinic.
