Kalan Reed is just 5-foot-11, but we found out today that the defensive back from Southern Mississippi can jump about half his height in the air.

Today is the Golden Eagles’ Pro Day, and Reed showed off his incredible leaping ability by hitting 41.5 inches on the Standing Vertical Jump, a feat that made both his teammates and coaches totally lose their minds.
Let’s put Reed’s jump into perspective for a minute—41.5 inches is almost 3-1/2 feet, which is more than half of Reed’s height. That, my friends, is pretty wild to think about. Reed is currently projected as a very late round draft pick, if he’s drafted at all, but his performance today should catch the eye of NFL teams who are need help at cornerback help.
