Watch ‘The Greek Freak’ Destroy the Minnesota Timberwolves With Two Dunks and a Block
They call Milwaukee Bucks forward/point guard/pogo stick Giannis Antetokounmpo the “Greek Freak” for two reasons. He was born in Greece and he is abnormally and curiously (i.e., freakishly) good on the basketball court.
For visual evidence, look no further than three of the plays he executed last night, as the Bucks took on the Minnesota Timberwolves in their pre-season finale.
In the first quarter, Antetokounmpo came flying in from the left corner to throw down a nasty put-back dunk off a Chris Copeland miss, forcefully grabbing the ball with two hands in mid-air before flushing it.
In the second quarter, he blocked the life out of a Shabazz Muhammad fast break dunk attempt. After trailing Muhammad by a step most of the way down the court, he elevated at the perfect time and told the basketball, “You Shall Not Pass!”
Antetokounmpo topped his performance off with an alley-oop dunk from Michael Carter-Williams in the third quarter. Bravo, Mr. Greek Freak. We can’t wait to see what you do in the regular season.
