Will Ferrell is Not Very Good at Running the 40-Yard Dash
Following USC’s football game against Stanford last Saturday, well-known Trojans fan Will Ferrell, who’s now pushing 50, got to race against a lucky fan in the 40-Yard Dash. The results were not pretty. Decked out in a customized, two-sizes-too-big USC jersey, Ferrell barely edged out his opponent—though that’s not saying much.
By our unofficial timing method, Ferrell ran 40 yards in about 6.33 seconds. For comparison, New York Jets offensive lineman D’Brickashaw Ferguson, who weights 310 pounds, ran the 40-Yard Dash at the NFL Combine in 5.08 seconds. It’s safe to say that Ferrell’s choice to become a comic actor instead of an athlete was for the best.
