Work Out Hard-to-Develop Muscles With Grip4orce
Hands and wrists are often overlooked in sports training. Using thick bars can help bulk up those hard-to-develop areas, but many gyms do not have them available. Grip4orce, a new strength-training product, is a great, simple tool that has one up on thick bars.
Grip4orce’s two-inch diameter, rubber-treaded material creates the feel of a thick bar. Grip4orce provides inner-core resistance that requires the user to squeeze it so the material stays wrapped around the bar. With a thicker grip, you gain more leverage from the increased amount of work required to hold on. By applying constant pressure, tension in the hands is multiplied, activating more hard-to-reach muscles in the fingers, wrists and forearms.
Owner and founder Jim Hartman says that “creating stronger hands is creating a stronger athlete.” NFL strength trainer Ken Lesitner calls Grip4orce “a direct and useful innovation,” adding that “our trainees have been challenged by the use of adding what one could term their ‘active hand and forearm involvement’ during many standard barbell and dumbbell movements.”
Grip4orce can be used on all standard bars and dumbbells as well as cable attachments and Pull-Up bars. Two different flexes are available: Stiff Flex and Regular Flex. In addition, the internal resistance element makes Grip4orce a training tool on its own. Athletes can improve grip strength by simply holding and repeatedly squeezing against the resistance. This exercise also serves as a method to warm up your hands and wrists before intense training sessions.
